As a bartender, what current bartending trend most excites you?
Karine: “I wouldn’t necessarily call it a trend, but I really love slushy season and coming up with something wild and delicious to throw in the machine.”
What’s a flavor you’re most excited to work with this year?
Karine: “I have really been loving tamarind and chamoy recently!”
What Liquid Alchemist flavor do you like working with the most?
Karine: “The orgeat is a staple for a reason, but passion fruit is probably my true passion.”
What’s your favorite industry spot in your area?
Karine: “Too Soon is a new cocktail spot and it has quickly become a late night favorite, everytime I’m there I run into someone I know.”
What three bars are must-go- to’s if you visit Portland?
Karine: “Sandy Hut on Sundays for Country Co-Op, Palomar for oysters and espresso martinis on tap, and Rum Club for shotskis!”
